ACT Group are one of Australia’s oldest and most successful providers of biomass to energy technologies, our experience dates back to the late 1990’s well before Australians were even aware that clean renewable biomass technology existed. Over the past 16 years we have been active in the USA , UK and more recently back here in Australia.

Our first plant in Australia was commissioned in 1998 and since that time we have worked successfully with clients to provide proven technology and solutions using a broad range of fuels from wood to chicken litter. ACT Group provide solutions to deliver Steam, Hot Oil, Hot Water, Hot Air and Electricity. We can deliver plants from 20kw’s to 14mw’s thermal and 100kwe’s to 5mwe’s electrical. All our solutions are modular and can be delivered and installed quickly and inexpensively because most of the manufacturing and pre wiring is completed in our workshops.

In conjunction with our technology associates, there are over 3000 plants world wide, giving potential clients the comfort of knowing we have the experience and jealously guard our hard earned reputation in the market.

ACT Group provides free consultancy to approved clients and deliver full turnkey projects, removing the need for clients to employ expensive project managers and we deliver a one point of contact during the entire project and subsequent after sales, service and maintenance contract.

Our CEO Gary Ridout has over 30 years in Combustion engineering, and has worked with companies such as BHP, Ford Motor Company, Alcoa and many more satisfied clients over his journey. His move into Biomass was a water-shed moment for him, and after so long in the Oil and Gas Industry, he has never looked back. He is proud of the fact he is one of this countries most established proponents of biomass to energy. Gary has also written and presented a paper on the benefits of waste to energy to the USA Government in Washington as a guest speaker of the USDA. Such is his passion, he enjoys solving clients waste issues or bourgeoning cost of fuel, delivering a total solution with an economical return on investment, requiring no grants or low government assisted loans. He say's “if a project does not stand up on it’s own merits then it’s not a project, it’s a liability” Government assistance is a bonus and should not be the driver for any project.
